Dear Pigeon Community,
I write to you today to regretfully inform you of the closure of Pigeon Loans, Inc.
Over the past five years, Pigeon has served as a pillar in the world of lending and borrowing amongst friends, family, and loved ones. Despite our many successes, the business and the community we have grown together will be coming to a close.
This was a very difficult decision to make. We want to be as transparent as possible and provide you with a clear timeline and the tools you need to transition smoothly.
Please note these important dates:
- As of today, August 1, 2025: Communications regarding the closure of Pigeon have been announced and will continue in various formats for the remainder of the month. Human customer support of the platform will be limited, and expected response times will be roughly 2-3 business days.
- Starting September 1, 2025: We will no longer support the creation of new loans on our platform. All payment activity and other loan actions will cease. The Pigeon platform will then enter a "read-only" mode.
- September 1, 2025 - December 1, 2025: Our apps will enter a "read-only" mode. During this 90-day window, you will still be able to log in to your account and access all of your historical loan data. This will be your only and final opportunity to export your data.
- After December 1, 2025: The Pigeon platform will be permanently shut down. All user accounts and data will be archived and deleted after this date.
Data
As we transition to the closure of the business, we understand that the data and information regarding your ongoing loans you have entrusted us to manage is crucial. Therefore, during the read-only period, we urge all users to export your loan data by December 1, 2025. We will be unable to retrieve any of your information after the final shutdown date.
Further communication about the export process will be provided after September 1, 2025.
Billing
For our premium users, any recurring billing will be automatically canceled. Unfortunately, due to the company's financial dissolution, we are unable to process any refunds for premium fees, as per our Returns & Cancellations policy. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding during this difficult time for our organization.
We’ve greatly enjoyed the journey of supporting over 125,000 of you in facilitating more than $50,000,000 in loans within this community. Through our infancy to our maturation, you have stuck with us and given us the privilege of being a part of your financial lives. For that, we are truly grateful.
